Only in Wyoming can it go from 50 degrees and sunny one day to a blizzard the next. Needless to say after driving the hour to Worland my fight was canceled. It is okay though because the next day it was once again beautiful and sunny with no snow anywhere near the airport. At any rate I made it to PA in one piece. I had my moments of trepidation on the flight to Denver. The plain was an 18 seater, nine rows one seat on each side with a aisle down the center, no over head bins, no bathroom, and I could see the pilots and the control and everything. It was kind of like flying through space in a barrel. As i said before, I lived.
Things I discovered on this trip
One: Although big airports can be crazy and stressful at least they can x-ray your check in luggage as apposed to opening up every compartment of one's massive, overly stuffed back pack and pulling out and waving around your unmentionables while standing at the check in desk of the one room airport and joking around with other passengers. Of course i was the only girl in the airport so i could not exactly pretend the back pack wasn't mine.
Two: Jesus loves me and people can be nice even in big scary airports. So i lug my big old back pack and suitcase into the Denver airport after spending the night at a friends house. I set the back pack on the scale and no surprise it ways only 41 pounds (HA HA HA!!! to the certain individual, you know who you are but i doubt you will read this, who said that my back pack was WAY over weight... you are either a liar, or a wimp.) So then the guy lifts my suit case onto the scale and cringes. To my horror he shakes his head and makes a comment about it feeling overweight. NOOOOOO!!! He sets in on the scale and the numbers jump to 53. Not a good number. But the guy was very nice and he was all like, well the scale needs reset it was over by three pounds after we took the other bag off. The guy behind the counter was like, "no its was actually under by three pounds, but he reset it. 57 pounds. Really not good. Then the other guy behind the counter grumps to the guy helping me and says that he is leaning in the suitcase. I looked and he did have his hand resting on the suitcase but last i checked a hand resting on a suitcase does not generally effect teh weight as much as his apparently did. He rempved his hand and the weight dropped by a whopping 13 pounds. "Auff, look at that its a perfectly fine weight." the guy behind the counter said with a smile. "There you go, all set" Jesus loves me
Three: First impressions from when your a kid stick with you. I went to Philadelphia when i was young and it was my first real city experience and i hated it and it was stressful. My plane had barely landed and i was like, "Yuck i hate this place, get me out a here."
Four: This one i actually just discovered a few minutes ago. Apparently it is okay to go to work making lots of loud noises at 7:30 in the morning when you live in Ephrata, PA. I was thinking some one was mowing and was rather disturbed but now i am thinkng it is the guys come to put on our deck. Either way it is rather early; the sun just finally came up.
