So It Begins

well the rodeo has come to a close and all went well. There were only three memorable injuries and none of them were to WF staff. A bull fighter got struck in the head by a bull's horn and got a concussion, a bronc rider got his hand caught and was drug and run over and what not but walked from the arena with some assistance, and a bull rider was badly injured and had to have surgery but was released form the hospitol, somehow i missed the last one and do not know what happened.

The weekend was a time for relaxing, something I apparently have lost my talent for. I was bored and did not feel like doign anything. I got a lot of sleep and went to church. Yesterday afternoon a few of us played in the irrigation ditch, a four foot wide one and a half foot deep stream basically, with mud lining the edges and the bottom. Perfect for a mud war. There was even black clay like stuff at some spots that worked well for exfoliating ones skin. We covered ourselves in it and posed for pictures. It was lovely. Even lovelier was the showers when I went to clean them today.

This week Mission Adventures begins, my whole reason for being here! The speaker for the week, the one and only Marty Meyer from YWAM Idaho, arrived this morning and our first group of kids will arrive late tonight.

Today was a day of last minutes preparation. I assisted the hospitality queen in cleaning a guest room, the speakers room, the MA boys room, the girl's bathroom, and the unity room. I then helped bake cookies. People have been baking cookies all day and i don't think i have ever seen so many cookies in one place in my entire life. It is insane. Other things that got done today were the volleyball net was put up, the snack shop restocked and organized, the prayer room nearly finished, the backround set for the stage was completed, schedules were finalized, we worked on the passion play for a while, the games for the week were organized, the meal plan set up, and the list goes on, and on, and on. we got alot done. Now it is time for the fun to begin!
