Friends

The week of training is coming to a close. we will be leaving for outreach tomorrow morning. The training went well. The sessions were awesome. tueday Night we did hte staff skit. We had changed it form our original plans but people insisted i still had to dress up gothic even thought it had nothign to do with anything. So i put on a black shirt and one fo the girls here did my make up. Iwas horrified wehn I looked in the mirror. Sadly none of the pictures really captured the look of the make up.

On Wednesday the kids went on the trek in Niko Land and in the evening the staff did the passion play. Both went very well. The passion play was powerful despite a few messed up lines and awkward pauses. Te day was rather emotional and a lot to take in but we all slept well that night. Yesterday was relaxing for the staff since we were able to rest while the students had workshops. I got the great pleasure of spending most of my break on the phone trying to get a hold of a real person who could assist me in reserecting my dead laptop. Thankfully it is alive and running now. Last night was the Commitment service which was awesome and then we all chilled by the fire for a while. Tonight we are all gong to the Cody Night Rodeo where the students will perform their skits at the entrance to the rodeo grounds. I think it will be fun.

In entertaining news they have this extremly hot sauce here called Liquid Stupid. Seriously, that is the name on the bottle. One drop of this stuff will set you on fire adn you would have ot be stupid to eat it. A week or so ago the MA director, Dave, left in the middle of lunch for a few moments. His plate sat invitingly next to me. Now the full time staff know better then to ever play a trick on Dave but that does not mean they wont encourage the newbies. So with a little bit of coaxing the newest arrival, Rebekah put some Liquid Stupid in Dave's ice tea. He returned later and drank some. it was cold and refreshing but then burned the whole way down. His reaction was disapoiting. He just said rather carelessly, "Who put the liquid stupid in my tea?" Somehow he figured out who it was. His idea for getting back was a bit pathetic with the potential of being cruel. He went into the girls bathroom which all three of us summer staff girls share, and put liquid stupid all over the toilet seat. The reason i say this was a pathetic idea is because the sauce is brown and quite noticeable. The next day i am in the bathroom and i see this sticky note on the floor that says, "Hot huh?" I asked the other girls about it but they did not know where it came form. I thought that was kind of freaky cause it meant someone had been in there who should not have been. Then, a bit later in the day Dave asks me an incredibly awkward question, "Do you have a hot butt?" I was like, "uhh... no" A bit later it was explained to me what had happened and it was found out that Sarah had discovered the hot sauce that morning and simply wiped it off and never mentioned it to anyone. A few days went by with Rebekah being kind of jumpy and distrustful of Dave but eventually she slipped up and abandoned her food for just a moment. When she returned her tomato soup and her grilled cheese sandwich were dowsed in Liquid Stupid. She was smart enough to toss out the soup after taking a bite of the sandwich, however she was not smart enough to not play another trick on Dave. Yesterday Rebekay adn I were sitting across the table form each other when she whispered to me that she had a water balloon in the truck and would I mind getting it for her. So i went and picked it up and carreid it in plain site to where we were sitting and handed it to her. I did not see her actually hit Dave with it because it happend outside but he barley got wet. Now beinf good friend Sarah and i had forwarned her that he would pay her back big time for this but she was like, "Oh I can handle it" So when he grabbed her, carried her over to the water jugs. pinned her to the ground and dumped the jug of icey water on her face, we stood by and laughed. What are friends for?
